Fall 2008:  Another Witchcraze Workshop is tentatively set for Fall 2008 to record more demos.  Singers will be paid.

The Witchcraze Workshops will function to prep the show for staging "Witchcraze" in New York City in 2010.  The demo recordings will continue to be used to raise funding and awareness for this historic event.

Even though the show is postponed until a future date, a donation will still be made to Biloxi Fire Fighter Jimmy Skinner for a specialized cancer treatment that his insurance refuses to pay for.

"Witchcraze" is presented by Gathering Grove Productions, an arts group that focuses on "Working for Human Rights Through the Arts", as featured on WLOX.

  • The Sponsors who make financing the show a reality will help Mississippi sojourn one step closer to dispelling stereotypes about our state and its people.

Are you confused by the misinformation, racial profiling, and campaign slogans manipulated by government officials to propagate a war on terror for their own political and economic gain?

Of course, this refers to 1692...

Witchcraze, the original musical by Mississippi Gulf Coast artist Patricia Causey, examines how the Witch Trials of Salem, Massachusetts, and the hunt for WMD's (Witches of Mass Destruction) had little to do with witches at all...

~ From the Writer/Composer ~

The musical Witchcraze neither promotes nor denounces any spiritual path.   The premise of  Witchcraze is to encourage tolerance for others and promote the importance of our basic civil liberties.

As a creative artist and a very spiritual person, it is more important to me to advocate the protection of the basic freedoms guaranteed  to every American citizen by the First Amendment, than to espouse  any one path.

A little history...

Before Katrina, Gathering Grove Productions was in rehearsal for the World Premiere of Witchcraze by MS Gulf Coast Artist, Patricia Causey.  Set in 1692 Salem, the show parallels current history with the past and promotes Women's Rights, basic Civil Rights, tolerance for people who are different, and what can happen when people stand together to fight oppression.

We had our first music rehearsal August 27th and thought we'd come back to rehearsal on Tuesday, after the storm... well, that did not happen... A great show with a great cast was postponed.  Since then, half the cast has had to relocate to find homes and/or work outside of this area, and many of them out of state... one guy even moved to Australia.

With the positive mindset that everything happens for a reason... We are regrouping and re-casting...

The Show has 98 minutes of music… Music styles include Broadway, Dixieland, Rag, All Female Choir, and Sondheim-esque numbers.  We will record the Original Cast Album that will be sent to Broadway Producers, Repertory Theatres, and Universities around North America.
Witchcraze will take over Broadway one day, and when it does, you will want your name in every libretto and every program in the world as being a part of the Original Cast.
