"Groundbreaking!" .........  "A story that needs to be told!" ......... "You can hear the anguish in the music." .........  "Spectacular!" ......... "A living history lesson!" ......... "There's something for everyone!" ......... "The music is stunning!" ......... "The historical research that went into this show is awe-inspiring." ......... "I sat in my seat, blown away by what I experienced."

If you think this is "Crucible, the Musical", think again.  There was more to the Salem Witch Trials than a bunch of uptight Puritans.   In short, the Witch Trials of Salem, Massachusetts, had little to do with witches at all.

"Witchcraze" is an original musical written and composed by Mississippi artist Patricia Causey.  "Witchcraze" deals with Women's Rights, Human Rights, and the importance of protecting our First Amendment rights.  Rooted in historical documentation and the psychology of the time, "Witchcraze" follows the story of Bridghid, who is accused of witchcraft after speaking up for her rights as a tax-paying citizen in a patriarchal government and society.  Even though the history and the show take place in 1692, the themes are relevant to 2007.

Donations of $50 and over will be eligible for a tax-deduction.

A cast of 40-50 people is needed for the World Premiere of "Witchcraze", to include men, women, and teens of all backgrounds, ages 14-70.  The cast will include several of the Coast's well-known performers including Allan Micksch, Elizabeth Hart, Stephanie Crosby, Nancy Wetzel, and Tina Johnston.
